Aesthetic treatments during a stay in Morocco: how to plan them

L'équipe Bloom Clinic

Non-invasive treatments fit a trip well: no anaesthesia, no downtime. The trick is choosing the right ones and placing them at the right point in the journey.

Non-invasive treatments fit neatly into a trip because they require neither anaesthesia nor recovery: you walk in, you walk out, the day carries on. Two rules are enough to avoid mistakes — avoid light-based technologies right before sun exposure, and schedule slow-acting protocols early in the stay rather than the night before you fly home.

Why Rabat and Casablanca

The two cities hold most of the country's aesthetic medical capacity, are served by direct flights from Europe, and work equally in French and English. For a visitor that removes the three usual frictions of treatment abroad: finding a properly equipped centre, understanding what is being proposed, and being able to come back easily for the next session.

There is a less obvious advantage. A stay of ten to fifteen days maps rather well onto the rhythm of several courses: two or three closely spaced body sessions, or a series of facial treatments, fit inside a single week.

Treatments that suit a stay

  • HydraFacial: under an hour, immediate effect, no aftermath — the easiest to slot in.
  • Pressotherapy and drainage: ideal after a long flight, with no constraints at all.
  • EM-Sculpt and cryolipolysis: one or two sessions are enough to start a protocol; the result builds after you get home.
  • HIFU: a single session whose effect arrives two to three months later — so it can be done any time, even the day before departure.

Treatments that cannot be scheduled just anywhere in the trip

Anything using light requires untanned skin, before and after: laser hair removal, IPL, photorejuvenation, Carbon Peeling. On a beach holiday, these belong at the start of the trip only if you accept staying covered afterwards — otherwise they are better postponed. Microneedling leaves redness for a day or two and should be planned accordingly.

How to organise a treatment stay

  1. Book the diagnostic consultation in the first days: it is free and everything else depends on it.
  2. Put multi-session protocols early in the stay, so you can fit two or three in.
  3. Keep immediate-effect treatments for the end, before an event or the flight home.
  4. Plan the continuation: most courses carry on at home, with a written protocol.
  5. Declare current medication and medical history at the first consultation, not at the third session.

What to check before booking, anywhere

A genuine skin diagnosis before the first session, rather than a straight sale. A clear answer on the technology used and its suitability for your phototype. A quote issued after the assessment. And a willingness to say no: a serious centre will tell you a treatment is not right for you instead of selling it anyway.

Bloom Clinic is open Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 8 pm, in Hay Riad in Rabat and on boulevard Brahim Roudini in Casablanca. The first consultation, diagnosis included, is complimentary — including if you are only here for a few days.
